New Global Online Sport programme launches at Man Met

A new Global Online programme has launched at Manchester Metropolitan: a masters in Sport Business, Management and Policy.

Sports is a multibillion dollar market, which continues to grow in popularity and investment worldwide. As the sector grows, so do the leadership opportunities within it for people with the right expertise and qualifications to succeed – and this degree is designed to help professionals gain them.

Manchester Met has, and continues to develop, a world-leading academic focus on sport. The programme will be taught by academic experts who hold strong connections with organisations such as the International Olympic Committee, FIFA and Sport England, and who are based in Manchester – a city known internationally as a centre of sporting excellence and innovation.

Grounded in current practice and themes, units will include Sports Policy and Politics, Sports Event Management, Business Analytics and Sports Marketing. On completion, professionals will be prepared for careers spanning both sports and business, in roles such as Sports Talent Manager to Local Authority Sport and Leisure Officer.

The new course is the latest in a growing suite of Global Online degrees at Man Met, joining an MBA, MBA in Strategic Health and Social Care, MSc in International Human Resource Management and MSc in Finance and Strategy. Each course is delivered 100% online and offers flexible study options, while still teaching the vital tools and techniques needed to lead in a global market.

Applications for the MSc Global Online Sport Business, Management and Policy are now open, with teaching due to start in September 2018.
