How do I apply for a Global Online programme?
At Manchester Metropolitan University, we are dedicated to making studying and balancing your career as easy as possible. We believe this commitment begins right from when you first enquire about a Global Online programme, which is why we have made our application process straightforward fast.
Your first step is to get access to the online application portal. You can do this by either selecting the ‘start your application’ button on the relevant course page where you will be sent an email with a link to the application portal OR registering your interest through the form on the course page.
If you register your details through the form, one of our Advisors will call you to answer any questions you have about the course and assess your eligibility. If you meet the course’s entry requirements and wish to proceed with your application, your Advisor will send you a link to our online application portal.
Once you have access to the portal you will be able to log on and complete an application form outlining your personal details and education to date. You will then be required to upload the following documents and submit your application:
- Certificate and/or transcripts evidencing your academic and/or professional qualifications e.g. degree certificate
- Evidence of English language proficiency for non-native English speakers e.g. IELTS or free Pearson Test of English results
- Passport photo
- A personal statement, detailing your motivations for studying with Manchester Metropolitan University Global Online.
We will assess your application and make a decision based on the course entry criteria. You may be required to supply further documentation at this stage to support your application. Typically, the Admissions Team will provide a decision on your application within five working days of all required documents being uploaded on to the portal.
If everything goes well with your application, you will receive an official enrolment offer via email. You will be able to accept your offer via the applicant portal. Your Enrolment Advisor will then request your Manchester Metropolitan University Student ID, which will be sent to you via email within four working days. They will also send you a link to the payment portal. In order to confirm your place on the programme, you’ll be required to pay for your first unit of study prior to the payment deadline.
Once you have made your initial payment, you’ll be enrolled on to the selected intake of your chosen course and introduced to your dedicated Student Success Advisor, who’ll be with you to cheer you on from the sidelines from the start of the programme to graduation. You’ll then be invited to a Welcome Webinar – a group event hosted online that will introduce you to the course, your fellow students and the Virtual Learning Environment. Designed to make sure your induction to the course is as smooth as possible, it will help you get the most out of your online learning experience.
